Q. What do I do in an emergency?

A. If an emergency medical situation arises during office hours call us at (239) 596-2300, and your call will be put straight through to someone who can help you. At night or during the weekend, call (239) 596-2300. Our answering service will contact the doctor and he will call you back as soon as possible with instructions or where to go for immediate treatment if necessary.

Q. What if I go into labor at night or over the weekend?

A. Babies generally don`t share their arrival plans with us in advance so many are born outside of regular office hours. If this is the case with you, call Birthplace at (239) 513-7724 and they will contact Dr. Crandall.

Q. Do you recommend Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for menopausal women?

A. Hormone replenishment therapy is essential for maintaining the health of women and men. Recent poorly designed studies have been misinterpreted to suggest otherwise in women. We will be happy to discuss these studies as well as the risk factors and benefits for you as an individual.

Q. Can I call the office on the telephone with a question or problem?

A. Yes, we not only accept telephone calls, we welcome them as an opportunity to serve you better. We can refill prescriptions, answer concerns you may have, and help determine when an office visit is needed.
